Why Einstein Asked “What if I rode a beam of light?”

History
As a teenager, Albert Einstein wondered: “What would happen if I rode on a beam of light?” That single question broke the laws of classical physics and opened the path to the theory of relativity.

Reflection
Big questions don’t have to be logical. Sometimes the absurd is the shortcut. Instead of asking “how to do it?”, try asking “what if reality worked differently?”. That’s how breakthroughs begin.

Technique — Flip-the-Question

  • Write down your current problem.

  • Now flip it into a “what if” scenario.

  • Example: “Why can’t I focus?” → “What if focus came to me like gravity?”

Quantum Question
👉 What’s your beam of light?
